An interesting article. I have all those people rolled into my best friend. Does that count?

The friend for life one is so important. My best friend and I knew we were supposed to be together forever. We were young, we tried dating and almost killed each other.

We finally figured out that we were great just the way we are. We're like an old married couple.

Not everyone is lucky enough to meet "the one"....the friend for life. I have been so fortunate...I will never meet another person like my best friend...we have known each other almost 20 years and in that time have always been there for each other...we've helped each other through some rough times. Whenever the other goes on vacation, it's an emotional loss - an emptiness waiting to be filled again when they return... we too are like a married couple - most true friendships are - the basics are covered...for better or worse, richer or poorer, in sickness and in health....I hope at some point in everyone's lives, they are fortunate enough to meet "the one."
