I once read that if you eat about 1/2 can of ginger, you would go on a hallucinogenic trip.

It absolutely works for nausea, whatever reason you have it. It works in whatever form, too, though fresh ginger is best, even real ginger ale helps. And I love crystallized ginger as just a little sweet, which also freshens your breath.
