"People are always rushing to the market on the basis of one or two studies," said Dr. Muin Khoury, director of the National Office of Public Health Genomics at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. "We have very little evidence that telling people their genetic information is going to make any difference."

Considering the seriousness of the disorder, the false positive rate is unacceptably high to make this a useful test.

I wonder if they'll ever have a home test to determine if you're drunk? We could use one like that around here, because, whenever we don't think we're drunk, we send somebody out to do another beer run. We could be plastered and not even know it.
