"A person is ineligible when for some other reason he is not, and is not likely to be, qualified to receive a transplant. Inactivity implies that the patient will eventually be moved to active status. Ineligibility means the patient is not expected to ever become ill enough to need a new organ, or is otherwise a poor candidate for transplantation."

That's the breaks. There are people on the waiting list that do not take care of themselves. These people, unless famous, like Mickey Mantle, don't get donated cadaver organs and I can understand why. Give the organs to those who will best take care of the organ. I know a young man who has had 3 kidney transplants. He does not take care of it, diet, taking his medicne, why should he get another one when someone else who will better take care of it needs it?
