If it is indeed mutating to pass from human to human, keep in mind that we are only 18 to 24 hrs by air from China. This could be a severe threat, and at this time virtually untreatable.

Where I live the flu (regular type) has been making it's rounds and have been much more prevalent than last year. Probably due to the fact that the scientists guessed wrong on the kind of strain of the flu that went into composing the vaccine. If this avian flu keeps mutating, not many vaccines will be viable to combat it.

People that could not afford to seek treatment because they can't afford it: We have that problem here and if the ones that cannot afford the doctor, will more and likely spread it before they die, let alone know what they are dying from. How do we know that it is not already here? Don't come up here with this, Oh you are in panic for saying that. One must think of the what ifs in life to stay alive. Precautions are important.

It sounds like the only people who will survive this thing are pretty much old people and AIDS patients. This is like the first major virus that litterally has you dying of health, where, IF you survive it, it will leave you with mixed feelings. It's like the first virus you can't feel like superman with if you walk away from it while those who could take you on in a fight are kealing over. NO feeling of being Charlton Heston in "The Omega Man" with THIS bug.

Indonesia said on Wednesday the H5N1 virus might have undergone a mutation that allows it to jump more easily from poultry to humans, but stressed
