"Meanwhile, state health officials are still looking at a second clinic with connections to the first, called Desert Shadow Endoscopy Center. At Desert Shadow, officials had been found to reuse anesthetic vials but not syringes and so far no patients have been notified of potential risk. That determination could still be made, said Lisa Jones, head of the Nevada State Health Division's bureau of licensure and certification."

What should we expect given who has been in control of our country for most of the past 8 years? We have an administration that's allowed our airplanes to be built and repaired using substandard parts (from some of the same countries which are shipping deadly children's toys to us) while they try daily to scare us into believing the next 9/11 could be any minute. Bush and the GOP don't want to conserve energy or clean up the environment but they want to drill anywhere they please, They want to protect phone companies who aid them in spying on us but they don't want to protect corporate whistleblowers who might rat out someone who tries to sell us tainted beef or pet food. They claim to be "pro-life" while denying millions of children health insurance and they rush to rescue lenders but to hell with borrowers. And so on.... I mean, who in his or her right mind honestly thinks these people should ever be allowed anywhere NEAR the White House again?

Perhaps, but although my minds open there are so many HUGE ifs.Plus like it or not our system is based on free enterprise.
My question is the differance between capitalism and raping profits.A very tough question and probably a more difficult answer. And our gov't is bankrupt.

"This is very disturbing but not quit a surprise. Money, corruption, greed and lack of gov't oversight is not a good mix and people wonder why I'm against national healthcare."
--Government doesn't always work perfectly but it can often work well--when it isn't being deliberately sabotaged by those who would have us believe that privatization is the magic elixir to everything.

And without national healthcare that is what you'll always get. As long as healthcare is for profit....

Respectively bruhaha, your're theory is correct. But our gov't is so grossly bloated and mis managed and sucks up so much unnedded momey if that could be changed I'd be all for national healthcare.I do not disagree with the profit thing.
But all this person can see is specific examples of gov't of most our gov't bungling everything. Examples_ S.S. and medicare.
Profiteering- Aetna declaring 300% net profits. it coosts me 70 bucks for a med. and the pharmacy pays 10.99.SICKENING.
I'M NOT SAYING WHAT I WANT BUT WHAT JUST IS.

Govt may be bloated but. medicare, for every $1 spent, 5 to 10 cents is spent on overhead. private insurance....for every $1 spent, 25 to 30 cents is spent on overhead.
Where Medicare is bugled is with the prescription coverage that was passed in 2004 or 2005. That was designed as nothing more than yet another gift to the pharmaceutical companies and insurance companies.

Thanks Stoners, they just had something on TV over the weekend on using the same vile, it was on something else, I don't recall.
What the heck is the matter, we pay and arm and a leg to see our doctors and their staff, and they can't even do their jobs properly.
all for greed and money and profit, the hell with the patient.
Once again Thank you Stoners, glad to see you on board. Hope the Migraines take a rest for awhile.
Hugs Mary
