Europeans who complain about having to step outside in mid-winter to have a cigarette or not being able to enjoy a quick puff with their espresso should spare a thought for their US counterparts.

I hope Scott Rodrigues sues that company and wins! Heck! People get fired for being overweight! I mean WTF! I mean let people be people! If a person is going to be judged, let it be based on they're performance, not on they're personal habits or appearance.

I mostly agree with you, but would you hire someone who was 500lbs, never bathed and was on disability leave every other week?

Call me whatever you want, but I would not hire that person.

It's not fair, but there are many undesirables out there. It's not anybody's fault, but that's just how it is.

I agree, some people are fired for very wrong reasons, but if you have someone whose simple existence is going to be a major distraction...what do you do? You have to do something, because you know those people are out there.

I know a young lady who was fired for speaking with a southern accent. Hell, we are in Kentucky for pete's sake. The bosses were Yankees.

This will tie into Hillary's socialized medicine program. Pretty soon everyone will get a microchip implanted so we can keep track of everyone, everywhere, all the time.

It is for the greater good, you know.

"A spokeswoman for Scotts was unable to give details about the test given to Rodrigues or to comment on his case, only saying it was part of a company policy to promote a healthy lifestyle among its workers."

      This is just simple discrimination.

Everywhere in IL, towns are passing No Smoking laws in restaurants/bars. Well...it's dumb, but OK. I appreciate the smokeless atmosphere, but the smokers should still have the right to go outside the bar and light up.

NOW, there's towns passing laws where even if you're seen smoking outside, you get a ticket.

      This is too much.

Why won't big brother just let us do what we want to do?

      Mean old brother!
