But not that great for you, especially if you're a woman.

People usually jog/run on pavement, not earth or a vulcanized track. That constant jarring takes a toll on the feet, and the joints of the leg.

For woman, especially those well-endowed, a good sport bra may not make up for weak pectoral muscles. Plus, the muscles that hold the uterus in place are not well developed. Both of these are impacted by the constant jarring motion of the jogger/runner. Add to these factors the wider pelvis of a woman (making a greater angle of the femur to the knee), and the shape of the kneecap itself, makes women more suceptable to knee injuries during jogging/running.

No. The question is, "where is your body getting the calories that it is burning?" Walking is good exercise, no doubt, but FAT loss, not weight loss, should be the primary goal.

For me, its mostly been about keeping up the habit of running. When I do that, then yeah, the pounds go away.

Just gotta keep creating the good habit.
