It's become a daily routine for me. I sleep an hour less at night, and the hour's nap in the day seems to recharge the batteries so I end up getting a lot more done.

Learning to be at rest during stressful situations is an art one needs to learn!

When I get home from work I try to take an hour power nap. Believe when I wake up I am very refreshed. It makes me have an enjoyable evening.

I learned on shipboard in the Navy to take a snooze whenever possible - there was one time we had to go three days without sleep, and getting two hours rack time in twenty-four was not an uncommon experience. (The average was six hours, broken up into two intervals)

Working shift work as a cop, then being on call, going to court, raising a family, getting an education - naps were a necessity!!

Now I view napping as a well earned tidbit of life's pleasures. Nothing like a woolen throw, a dog or two, and a sleepy hour or so in that warm and fuzzy place that wipes away all cares and woe...

It is good to nap. Bring on the milk and cookies!! :-)

I am big fan of cat naps. I don't sleep very well at night, and a short nap at lunch time or before dinner really helps me focus on the day.

I love naps. Maybe I could slid under my desk for a few during the day without getting noticed?
