Why do we keep believing?

It's been established that permanent lifestyle changes involving food and exercise are the only thing that keeps weight off for good. Temporary fixes never work

Dieting in the traditional way, meaning by rationing calories, selecting types of food, etc., can and will be making you gain weight, whether during or after you stopped with it. The reason is very simple: food is NOT the primary factor defining our well-being, fitness and - as a result - weight. Once people accept that, everything about our health is easy to explain.
There is a new, unorthodox theory, explained in a book entitled "My Diet" and available to check at www.dukaty.com, under "Publishing". This is the European way of dieting, postulating (and proving) that the first factor of importance is our behavior. A set of behavioral factors is demonstrated to define our gaining or losing weight, i.e. it is primary to our fitness. Secondary factor is our drinks, and food comes only in the third place.
In other words, if you truly want to stay fit (and not be surprised by conventional diets leading to gaining weight), you'd better visit some alternative thinking.

Yes, it does work but people screw it up. From personal experience I know that if U start eating less and lose weight then that's good. The problem is when people go off the diet and start inhaling their food again. After U lose weight from a diet U must modify your diet so that U can eat again w/out regaining the weight. When U regain the weight U will acquire 15-20 lbs extra to your overweight. If you're going to diet U must modify it for the rest of your life and put more effort into controlling what U eat.
