        I couldn't imagine having pain that long. I'm a big baby when it comes to pain. I suppose they couldn't do the surgery until they felt like he would actually survive it.

                    mostly because the 5.56mm round was designed to deform and tumble on contact and penetration, picture getting shot in the knee and it coming out your elbow. The round is famous for doing weird changes of direction by tumbling and deflection on bone.
